EOG Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Petroleum Geophysicist to conduct comprehensive exploration geophysics. The role involves seismic acquisition support, processing, data conditioning, inversion, and attribute generation for reservoir evaluation.

You will lead quantitative interpretation and integrate results with core and petrophysical analyses away from well control. The position requires a Master's degree in Geology or Geophysics and at least five years of petroleum geophysics

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Geology or Geophysics.
• Five years of experience as Petroleum Geophysicist or related role in petroleum geophysics.
• Experience must include reservoir analysis, structural and stratigraphic mapping, 2D/3D seismic interpretation and calculations.
• Proficiency with seismic processing techniques including geometry building, signal processing, noise attenuation, refraction statistics, 5D interpolation, compressive sensing, anisotropic tomography, velocity model building and depth migration.

Responsabilités

• Conduct all aspects of exploration geophysics and support seismic acquisition, processing, data conditioning, inversion, and attribute calculation.
• Lead seismic quantitative interpretation including reservoir mechanical properties and inversion product creation integrated with core/petrophysical analysis.
• Perform regional and detailed structural and stratigraphic mapping and regional seismic interpretation.
• Contribute to development of trends and drilling opportunities and application of advanced seismic processing techniques.
