Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer (Ground AMTI) to join SAIC’s Prime SETA program in Chantilly, VA, supporting the NRO. The role involves defining baselines for new capabilities, advising on architecture, requirements, interfaces, and test readiness, and leading SB-AMTI mission capability efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years experience or Master’s 7+ years; substitutions allowed.

• Experience with systems engineering, mission integration, and acquisition support.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering efforts for GEOINT mission processing, collection, and mission management systems.
• Collaborate with government customers, mission partners, and development teams to define, deliver, and sustain capabilities.
• Develop and assess system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and technical solutions through the acquisition lifecycle.
• Provide oversight of software development, systems integration, testing, and operational readiness activities.
• Conduct technical trade studies and analyses to support modernization and future mission architectures.
• Evaluate performance, schedule, cost, and risk to inform program decisions.
• Serve as technical lead and SME for SB-AMTI mission capabilities and ground system integration.
• Manage requirements traceability and develop engineering artifacts, including epics, outlines, and test strategies.
• Support capability validation through test planning, execution, and mission readiness assessments.
• Advise stakeholders on mission architecture, direction, and strategic investments.

SAIC is seeking a Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer (Ground AMTI)

SAIC is seeking a Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer (Ground AMTI) to join SAIC's Prime SETA program supporting the NRO in Chantilly, VA.

As the Senior GEOINT Systems Engineer (Ground AMTI) you will interact daily with senior government and Program staff to analyze new concepts and technologies; support the definition and baselining of new capabilities and/or enhancements; advise on all aspects of System Engineering analysis (architecture, requirements, Concept of Operations (CONOPs), interfaces, schedule, and dependency identification); test support, and provide Readiness Event support.

• Collaborate with government customers, mission partners, and development teams to define, deliver, and sustain mission capabilities.
• Develop and assess system architectures, requirements, interfaces, and technical solutions throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

• Evaluate technical performance, schedule, cost, and risk to inform program and acquisition decisions.
• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for SB-AMTI mission capabilities and ground system integration.
• Manage requirements traceability and develop engineering artifacts, including solution epics, functional outlines, and test strategies.
• Support capability validation through test planning, execution, and mission readiness assessments.
• Advise stakeholders on mission architecture, technical direction, and strategic capability investments.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
• Experience supporting GEOINT, ISR, space, or intelligence mission systems.
• Experience with systems engineering, mission integration, and acquisition support activities.
• Understanding of MTI/AMTI, C2, and battlespace management concepts.
• Experience developing and managing requirements, traceability, and verification activities.

• Familiarity with GEOINT mission architectures, mission processing, and ground systems.
• Experience supporting system integration, test, and operational readiness efforts.
• Knowledge of IC/DoD acquisition processes, systems engineering practices, and program lifecycle execution.
• Experience supporting NRO, NGA, or other IC GEOINT programs.
• Knowledge of space-based ISR and GEOINT mission operations.
• Strong briefing, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills, including interaction with government leadership.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
