Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and at least 3 years related experience.
  • Experience curating holistic specimens and linking across collections.
  • Experience with Arctos for collections data management.
  • Ability to supervise staff and train students.
  • Willingness to work with cryogenic facilities.
  • Background check and valid NM driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage DGR collections care per standards across processing, cataloging, data entry, and maintenance; upgrade collection condition and efficiency.
  • Oversee full tissue loan workflow from subsample to international shipment; document in Arctos and meet biosafety requirements.
  • Maintain DGR records in Arctos; link tissue samples to voucher specimens and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the DGR collection through partnerships with researchers and consortia.
  • Foster diverse use of the DGR collection across disciplines and coordinate with MSB divisions and external collaborators.
  • Oversee cryogenic infrastructure, including LN2 storage and ultra‑low temperature freezers, with facilities coordination.
