Job summary
Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, through WECTEC Staffing Services, seeks an Interconnection Manager, Sr. to support generator interconnection processes within the MISO and SPP regions on a contract basis.
You will oversee life cycles from application filing to agreements, collaborating with ISO/RTOs, developers, and utilities. The role requires strong power systems knowledge, regulatory familiarity, and experience with interconnection studies and policy.
Qualifications
- Power systems background with transmission planning knowledge.
- Experience with steady-state/short-circuit analysis using listed tools.
- Familiarity with RTO/ISO planning processes and interconnection studies.
- Ability to coordinate with internal and external SMEs.
- Understanding of transmission policy and regulatory issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage generator interconnection application process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines.
- Coordinate with partners, including ISO/RTOs, developers, and utility companies, to facilitate seamless interconnections.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the generator interconnection process.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to inform strategic planning.
