Job summary

Caltech seeks an Enterprise AI Architect to design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions across administrative, research, and student services. You will lead technical design from prototype to production, focusing on scalable, secure, and observable systems using LLMs, agentic frameworks, and RAG.

The role requires deep expertise in AI engineering, orchestration, and enterprise integrations, with strong coding skills and leadership across the AI tech stack.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering large-scale enterprise software solutions.
• Production Generative AI applications using LLMs and agentic frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Python/Java/C#.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and API design.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, and knowledge-grounded AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI architecture and engineering for enterprise AI solutions.
• Design, prototype, and deploy production AI workloads.
• Mentor engineers in AI engineering practices.
• Establish AI standards, development frameworks, and testing methodologies.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable AI platforms.
