Job summary

PGTEK seeks a Sr. GenAI / ML Engineer to support L300 Accelerating Expansion, building Gemini and ML services from architecture to capability. You will develop Python services, model logic, experiments, tests, deployment packages, and monitoring.

You will apply secure practices, mentor teammates, and contribute reusable standards while supporting RMF/FedRAMP/DoD authorization activities. Hybrid or remote with travel to customer sites in the DC/NOVA area.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software, cloud, data, SRE, test, or ML engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on Google Cloud, AI/ML, data, or production-platform experience.

Sr. GenAI / ML Engineer — Federal and DoD Programs

About The Role

PGTEK is seeking a Sr. GenAI / ML Engineer to support our L300 Accelerating Expansion capability. You will build the working Gemini and ML services that move us from architecture to demonstrated capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Python services, model/RAG logic, experiments, tests, deployment packages, and production monitoring
• Implement solutions using Python, Vertex AI, Gemini, ADK, RAG, and ML
• Apply least-privilege and secure practices
• Mentor team members and contribute reusable standards
• Support RMF/FedRAMP/DoD authorization activities

Requirements

• 5+ years of software, cloud, data, SRE, test, or ML engineering experience
• 2+ years of hands‑on Google Cloud, AI/ML, data, or production-platform experience
• Experience with Python, Vertex AI, Gemini, ADK, RAG, ML, Cloud Run/GKE, APIs, testing, evaluation, and Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer
• Experience operating production AI services with CI/CD, monitoring, and rollback

Clearance & Location

Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred. Hybrid or remote with travel to customer sites (:10-25%). Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area preferred.
