Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Staff GenAI Engineer for YouTube Ads Creative Optimization in Mountain View, CA. You will lead the end-to-end development of novel ML models powering ad creative intelligence and define the technical strategy to drive measurable impact.

The role requires deep expertise in generative AI, deep learning, RL, and ML infrastructure, with experience scaling models and partnering with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality, safe AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy, ML design, and ML infrastructure.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture; testing/launching software products.
• 5 years of experience with generative AI, deep learning, reinforcement learning, or related ML field.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of novel ML models, including deep learning, RL, and generative AI; from concept to production.
• Define the technical strategy and roadmap for key ML components; align with product goals and drive impact via experimentation.
• Build and integrate scalable ML pipelines and services; collaborate with infrastructure and serving teams.
• Analyze performance metrics, derive insights, and implement algorithmic improvements for creative selection and exploration.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices in ML and system design.
