Job summary

EXL Talent Acquisition Team seeks an AI Architect – Generative AI & Enterprise Solutions to lead enterprise GenAI architecture in NY/NJ. The role fuses deep technical mastery with executive influence, shaping AI strategy and governance across the organization.

Responsibilities include architecture leadership, model selection, PoC-to-production delivery, and governance in collaboration with security, data, and legal teams. Hybrid work with strong business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of software/AI engineering and architecture with senior leadership on large-scale systems.
• GenAI production experience: evaluation, observability, cost, reliability.
• Deep AWS and AI services knowledge (e.g., Bedrock) and core cloud infra.
• Enterprise architecture grounding and modern DevOps practices (GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube).
• Excellent CXO-facing communication and ability to translate tech to business terms.
• Understanding of responsible AI, security, and data governance for enterprise AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and technical vision for generative AI within the function.
• Make authoritative technology decisions on models, frameworks, and agent harnesses.
• Move solutions from PoC to production with guardrails and observability.
• Integrate GenAI into AWS-based cloud solutions and CI/CD toolchain.
• Design for scale, throughput, latency, reliability and cost optimization.
• Establish operational foundations: evaluation pipelines, monitoring, drift management.
• Advise CXO-level leaders with business-focused roadmaps and ROI analyses.
• Mentor engineers and establish governance with security and data standards.
