Liftoff is a leading AI-powered performance marketing platform for the mobile app economy. Liftoff seeks a Senior Gen AI Software Engineer to design and build AI-powered products for our demand-side business, turning complex data into better decisions and growth.

You’ll work across Python, TypeScript, and React to create end-to-end AI capabilities, partner with product and customer teams, prototype quickly, and scale production-ready solutions that balance experimentation with reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and 8 yrs of relevant experience.
• Shipped LLM-powered or AI-assisted products beyond a demo.
• Proficient in Python; comfortable with TypeScript and React; strong API design, data modeling, SQL, and testing.
• Ability to build broader systems around a model including data, tools, permissions, feedback loops, and measures of quality.
• Define success criteria and continuously improve AI experiences over time.

Responsibilities

• Own generative AI product capabilities end to end, from understanding user workflows to implementation and rollout.
• Prototype and validate AI solutions; test value and feasibility; productionize successful ideas.
• Build agentic workflows that reason over campaign, customer, creative, and performance data with defined tools.
• Integrate AI agents into daily workflows in practical, useful ways with stakeholders.
• Design how AI systems access and use data, tools, and instructions for grounded results.
• Ensure production reliability with tool use, state management, failure recovery, and human review boundaries.
• Define interfaces between models and software for safe, dependable systems.
• Develop evaluation systems to measure AI feature impact using tests and human judgment.
• Build instrumentation to understand quality, adoption, and business impact in production.
• Apply safeguards for customer data and system access in high-impact workflows.
• Develop Python services and TypeScript/React interfaces to turn capabilities into customer-facing products.
• Evaluate new models pragmatically and adopt when they improve product quality, speed, or cost.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices for AI-powered products.
