Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking a Sr GEN AI Developer for an on-site contract role in Charlotte, NC. You will design, build, and optimize AI-powered code, pipelines, and web apps using prompts and generative AI.

You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams to deliver scalable AI solutions. The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in software engineering, 3–5 years with generative AI, and strong Python proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or 8 years of equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience with generative AI implementations.
• 6–8 years in software engineering.
• Strong Python skills and ability to learn new frameworks quickly.
• Experience building agents in Bedrock.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications that generate code, pipelines, and web applications automatically via prompts using generative and agentic AI.
• Enhance operations by integrating generative AI solutions to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Apply software design principles and common patterns to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Leverage unit testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Experiment with and implement cutting‑edge large language model (LLM) agentic technologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to accelerate adoption of AI‑powered tools.
• Implement generative AI solutions in alignment with AI policies.
• Conduct research to explore new AI techniques and emerging technologies such as blockchain and quantum computing.
• Optimize and fine‑tune AI models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
