Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an IT engineer to deliver scalable, compliant enterprise software using Claude Code and agentic workflows. You will modernize legacy systems and prototype bespoke solutions to boost efficiency across the organization.

You will collaborate with product teams, ensure security and compliance, and maintain AI-generated codebases and deployment pipelines while contributing to make-vs-buy evaluations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience
• High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering

Responsibilities

• Architect and design sound/supportable technical solutions for net-new software applications built from the ground up utilizing Claude Code and agentic workflows
• Evaluate legacy systems to determine capabilities and requirements necessary to build high-performance, operationally stable replacement applications using generative development tools
• Code complex, integrated, and modular applications by actively using Claude Code and related agentic software development frameworks
• Provide support, maintenance, and continuous iterative improvement of AI-generated codebases and deployment pipelines
• Triage/debug application performance, data handling, and security issues, tracing bugs within AI-generated code to establish corrective prompts and structural code remedies
