Job summary

Xebia is seeking a senior Data Modeling professional to lead analytical and enterprise data modeling efforts for Data Quality monitoring on Google Cloud. You will align legacy structures with a scalable, cloud-native target model, collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and testers, and drive standardization across the data platform.

The role emphasizes independent ownership, strong communication, and experience with dbt Core, SQL, and modern data architectures.

• Senior-level experience in Data Modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the existing Data Quality monitoring solution, its data structures, relationships, dependencies and integration points.
• Design target-state analytical and enterprise data models for Data Quality monitoring in GCP.
• Define data structures, modeling patterns and development standards within dbt Core.
• Contribute to the design of the target cloud-native monitoring architecture.
• Establish consistent data modeling standards, naming conventions and reusable patterns.
• Define integration principles between the Data Quality solution and other Data Platform components.
• Map legacy data structures and processes to the target architecture.
• Identify modeling gaps, dependencies and risks affecting the migration.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to align target models with business and Data Quality requirements.
• Work with Data Engineers during implementation and support translation of models into scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with Test Engineers during validation and testing.
• Review implemented data structures for alignment with models and standards.
• Contribute to technical, architectural and maintenance documentation.
• Create and maintain data model documentation, mapping specifications, data dictionaries and modeling guidelines.
• Communicate design decisions and technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
