Job summary

Long Finch Technologies is seeking a Senior GCP Data Engineering Lead to drive large-scale cloud modernization, migration, and analytics on Google Cloud Platform. The role requires hands-on expertise in BigQuery, Airflow, Python, SQL optimization, and enterprise data migrations.

You will partner with business stakeholders, QA, architects, and offshore teams to ensure successful delivery. As the technical anchor, you will lead onshore delivery, enforce best practices, and guide multi-team efforts

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, and Cloud Data Platforms.
Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and Cloud Composer/Airflow.
Advanced SQL development, debugging, and performance tuning.
Experience with large-scale Data Migration and Data Modernization programs.
Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT and warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design and delivery of GCP-based data engineering and migration solutions.
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Cloud Composer and Python.
Build and manage enterprise data warehouses and analytics solutions with BigQuery.
Perform complex SQL troubleshooting, data validation, and quality checks.
Drive migration from legacy platforms to GCP with data integrity and compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Review code, enforce engineering best practices, and provide technical leadership.
Coordinate with QA for test strategies and data reconciliation.
Support production deployments, performance tuning, and operational excellence.
