Job summary

MasTec Utility Services in Texas is seeking a Natural Gas Construction Manager to direct utility construction activities, oversee project management, resource allocation, equipment management, and administration in support of field personnel and customers. You will lead crews, manage budgets, review drawings, coordinate subcontractors, and participate in bidding and change orders.

A strong safety focus and leadership background are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• 5 years of relevant Construction Manager experience in Natural Gas contracting.
• 2 years in a supervisory role.
• OSHA 30 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage all projects to completion on time and within budget.
• Schedule crews, assign work, review timelines and performance.
• Participate in hiring and maintain employment paperwork.
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce safe practices.
• Determine job costs, labor and materials, ensure timely deliveries.
• Prepare and interpret drawings, maps, blueprints, and contracts.
• Identify and resolve blueprint issues during construction.
• Supervise subcontractors and inspect or bill as needed.
• Take responsibility for personnel, vehicles and equipment.
• Participate in meetings with management, peers, and customers.
• Contribute to estimating, bidding, contracts, and change orders.
