Job summary

Cintas Corporation is seeking a Senior Garment Manufacturing Engineer to drive automation and process improvements across our garment manufacturing network. You will partner with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and tech providers to identify opportunities, implement innovative solutions, and boost efficiency, quality, and reliability.

You will lead projects from concept through implementation, develop roadmaps for automation, and evaluate new technologies with ROI analyses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or technical degree in a related engineering field; equivalent experience accepted.
  • 5+ years leading automation projects in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar continuous improvement methods.
  • Proven ability to evaluate and implement automation or smart manufacturing tech.
  • Capital equipment justification and ROI analysis experience.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including international travel as needed.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead automation and process improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, quality and productivity.
  • Identify and eliminate manufacturing losses using Lean, Kaizen and CI methods.
  • Develop a strategic automation roadmap for technology solutions across the garment network.
  • Perform technical and financial evaluations including ROI analyses and vendor assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into operations.
  • Analyze equipment and data to improve reliability and enable predictive maintenance.
  • Establish and report KPIs to measure project success and improvements.

Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Senior Garment Manufacturing Engineer to help shape the future of apparel manufacturing through automation, process improvement, and smart factory technologies. In this role, you will partner with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and technology providers to identify opportunities, implement innovative solutions, and improve operational performance across our garment manufacturing network. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement while leading projects from concept through implementation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead automation and process improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Identify and eliminate manufacturing losses using Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for automation and manufacturing technology solutions.
  • Conduct technical and financial evaluations of new projects, including feasibility studies, ROI analysis, vendor assessment, and implementation planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate emerging technologies and innovative manufacturing capabilities into operations.
  • Analyze equipment and operational data to improve reliability and support predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and operational improvements.
Skills/Qualifications

Required:

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading automation projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success evaluating and implementing automation or smart manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience performing capital equipment justification and ROI analyses.
  • Strong project management, communication, and change leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel as needed.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Preferred:

  • Experience in apparel, garment, textile, or related consumer goods manufacturing.
  • Experience with system integrators, robotics, machine learning, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
