Job summary

American Contract Furniture seeks a Furniture Engineer to lead advanced engineering for product development, including reviewing requirements and creating manufacturing solutions. You’ll coordinate with Product Management and cross‑functional teams to ensure high quality, reliable designs and cost-efficient manufacturing.

The role requires CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), strong math/physics foundations, and a proactive, ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar discipline preferred.
• Three or more years of related experience in a similar role required.
• Experience in hospitality furniture manufacturing: materials, finishes, upholstery, etc.
• MS Office and video conferencing tools proficiency.
• CAD rendering with SolidWorks/AutoCAD is required.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review product schematics based on project parameters and build models of new product designs using CAD software.
• Contribute to design and development of new products from idea to launch.
• Identify improvements for quality, construction and cost efficiency while meeting standards.
• Collaborate with PM, Purchasing, and global engineering teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering and project teams throughout the lifecycle.
