Job summary

The Carlyle Group in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Analyst for the Fund Management (FM) team. The role centers on turning fund performance data into concise, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include forecasting, valuations, and creating investor-facing materials. Collaborate with investment professionals to support acquisitions and dispositions; design executive reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Concentration in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong accounting or financial background with the capability to learn private equity principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple tasks.
  • Significant overtime frequently during valuation cycles and deal closings.

Responsibilities

  • Review and design presentations summarizing the performance of Carlyle's Japan funds and portfolio companies for stakeholders.
  • Assess projections of exit valuations and synthesize data into investment narratives.
  • Prepare executive-level valuations and related distribution timing reports.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals to plan funding of acquisitions and dispositions; draft investor messaging.
  • Assist fundraising with ideation, design and due diligence responses.
  • Respond to information requests from internal and external stakeholders.
