Job summary

Wellington Management seeks a seasoned Fund Controller for its private funds operations. You will oversee NAV, quarterly financials, capital calls and distributions, and audits while coordinating with fund administrators, auditors, and product teams.

Position requires deep GAAP knowledge, private funds experience, and advanced Excel; familiarity with Tableau/PowerBI/Alteryx is a plus. You will drive efficiency across Fund Control & Operations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance; CPA/CFA/MBA favored.
• 7+ years’ experience in alternative investment or fund admin.
• 4+ years’ experience with private credit/equity fund accounting/ops.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and fund structures; complex funds familiarity.
• Experience with private asset classes and various fund structures.
• Advanced Excel; proficiency with Tableau/PowerBI/Alteryx preferred.
• Strong client service mindset and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee NAV and financial statement process for assigned funds.
• Coordinate capital calls and distributions; review third‑party calculations.
• Oversee annual audit process and fund fees/expenses.
• Support product development, new funds, and internal controls.
• Provide data and analyses for queries; collaborate with multiple teams.
• Lead projects and provide peer review for junior staff.
