Job summary

Overlay Capital seeks a Fund Controller to serve as the internal owner of fund accounting, financial reporting, treasury controls, and administrator oversight for its energy finance funds and related vehicles. The role combines hands-on detail work with senior-level communication to leadership, auditors, lenders, and investors.

You will lead a growing internal accounting team, ensure accuracy of the platform’s numbers, and coordinate with third-party administrators while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required.
• CPA strongly preferred and considered a differentiator.
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience in private markets.
• Experience overseeing fund administrators and complex private-credit accounting.
• Advanced Excel and reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting and financial reporting for Energy Finance funds, co-investments, and GP entities.
• Oversee NAV calculations, capital accounts, allocations, fees, and waterfalls.
• Manage relationships with fund administrator, auditors, tax, and legal providers.
