Job description

What You\'ll Do

Fund Operations Support private equity/credit funds across their full lifecycle - fundraising, onboarding, ongoing operations, and liquidation - partnering with teams across the Sixth Street platforms. Manage fund-level accounting during quarterly closing cycles, including expense reconciliation and issuance of fund financial and deal performance reports. Prepare and review wires for investment activities and fee payments. Assist with complex waterfall and management fee calculations. Monitor cash liquidity and the investment pipeline to manage credit facility borrowings and capital events. Ensure investor reporting complies with U.S. GAAP and fund governing documents. Identify and help resolve critical accounting and reporting issues.

Oversight & Collaboration

Oversee the external Fund Administrator, including reviewing fund deliverables they prepare. Oversee an offshore team - delegate tasks and provide training and mentorship. Work with the Investor Services team to help resolve investor inquiries. Support the fundraising team with fund marketing materials. Liaise with investment professionals on deal closings. Coordinate with the Tax team on deal/fund structuring and tax estimates/payments. Work with internal and external legal counsel to understand key legal documents (e.g., credit facility agreements, limited partnership agreements). Partner with the Engineering team and participate in high-impact automation and technology projects to improve reporting efficiency and reduce manual work.

What We\'re Looking For

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Solid understanding of accounting rules and industry practices. Detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable. Sharp-eyed, with strong critical thinking and the ability to identify errors, syndicate risk, and clearly articulate points. Self-motivated with a strong team orientation. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables at once. Comfortable using technology to resolve problems efficiently, and open to automation and adapting to change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of accounting experience — public accounting (audit or tax), fund administration, or another private equity/investment management firm.

  • Experience with alternative investments, private equity/partnership accounting and fund administration is a plus.

  • Strong accounting and Excel skills; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.

  • Experience with credit and structured products (Bank Debt, HY Bonds, CLOs) is a plus.
