Job summary

Gen II Fund Services, LLC. is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant in Dallas to support private equity fund accounting across the lifecycle, including newly launched and first-to-market funds in various sectors.

You will work on consolidation, allocations, tax calculations, and financial statements, ensuring high technical standards and client service. The role involves a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days remote, offering a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Examine accounting records for accuracy and conformity to reporting standards.
• Review work papers, prepare call and distribution letters, and allocate profits/losses per Fund Governing Agreement.
• Prepare Consolidated Financial Statements with footnotes.
• Analyze investment documents and set up investment structures (holding companies, AIVs, blockers).
• Calculate current and deferred tax expense/benefit and related tax assets/liabilities.
• Train new staff and assist with fund transitions and setups.

Job description

Gen II Fund Services, a leading tech-enabled Private Equity Fund Administrator, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join our growing team. At Gen II, you will gain deep exposure to the full private equity fund lifecycle, including newly launched and first-to-market funds in sports, oil and gas, real estate, credit and more. You will gain exposure to top-tier sponsors while driving process improvements, expanding your expertise, and contributing to the continued success of one of the industry's most respected platforms.

Your contributions will be critical in maintaining Gen II’s standard of technical excellence, client service, and operational integrity.

Primary Responsibilities Will Include:

• Examine and analyze accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting standards
• Review work-papers, prepare call and distribution letters, calculate carried interest, and allocate profits and losses in accordance with Fund Governing Agreement with special allocations for blocked or tax-exempt Partners
• Prepare Consolidated Financial Statements with footnotes
• Analyze investment documents and properly set up investment structures including holding companies, AIV’s and blockers
• Calculate current and deferred tax expense/benefit and related deferred tax assets/liabilities
• Train new employees and assist with new fund transition and/or set up

Job Requirements, Skills, Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Economics and/or Finance
• Must have working knowledge of consolidations with non-controlling interest
• Must have working knowledge of realized and unrealized waterfall allocations
• Must have 2+ years of experience in a private equity fund accounting position

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.

Work Arrangement
