Job summary

Norstella is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the Product Engineering team. This remote role supports global platform services with a focus on .NET, Node.js, AWS, and databases.

You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software for life-saving therapies. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backend microservices, strong React experience, and a solid grasp of cloud-based deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, developing and architecting backend microservices with RESTful APIs and security frameworks.
• 5+ years in Node.js development.
• 3+ years in ASP.NET.
• 2+ years in cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• 5+ years in open-source frameworks (React, etc).
• 3+ years in Agile practices.
• 3+ years with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MySQL).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years using modern build/deploy tools like Azure DevOps and Docker.
• Experience with Test First (TDD) software development.
• Experience in pharma/healthcare sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using .NET, AWS, and various databases.

Job Description

Reporting into Director of Technology, the Full stack Dev will be responsible delivering high-quality software products or services. In addition to technical expertise, the Dev should have experience working with external developers responsible for the development and subsequent support of the various platform services components underpinning all the content applications across Norstella. As part of a large technology group, the Dev will work with product management, architecture and other software engineering teams in support of the product development roadmap.

We are looking for a senior full stack dev with great communication skills, deep experience in software engineering, and most importantly, the ability and willingness to keep learning in this ever-changing technology landscape.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing and architecting backend microservices with RESTful API and API security frameworks, service-oriented and/or microservices architecture
• 5+ years of experience in programming with Node.js.
• 3+ years of experience in programming with ASP.NET.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
• 5+ years of experience in open-source frameworks (React, etc)
• 3+ years of experience with Agile practices
• 3+ years of experience with modern relational and NoSQL databases (Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MySQL etc is a big plus)
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering or related field of study, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience using modern build and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps and Docker
• Experience with "Test First" (TDD) software development process
• Experience within pharma/healthcare sector is a plus
