Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the development of a next-generation mobile inspection platform and its supporting cloud infrastructure, owning the full software lifecycle from architecture to deployment.

The role collaborates with robotics, product, AI, and operations teams to deliver production-grade software for real-world robotic systems, with opportunities to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional full stack software development experience.
• Experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Experience shipping production mobile apps using React Native, Flutter, or native platforms.
• Experience designing scalable cloud-native applications (GCP preferred).
• Strong RESTful APIs and distributed systems design.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building scalable backend services with Node.js/.NET/Java/Go/Python.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Strong software architecture, clean code, and test automation.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain a production mobile application from concept through deployment.
• Design and build scalable cloud services supporting real-time inspection workflows.
• Develop secure, scalable REST APIs connecting mobile apps, cloud infra, and internal systems.
• Build intuitive, high-performance mobile and web user interfaces.
• Design backend systems for processing images, inspection data, and real-time events.
• Implement data pipelines, messaging systems, and cloud storage solutions.
• Establish engineering best practices around testing, CI/CD, observability, and deployment automation.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
• Partner with robotics, AI, hardware, product, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to lead the development of a next-generation mobile inspection platform and its supporting cloud infrastructure. This is a highly visible, hands-on engineering role where you'll own the complete software lifecycle-from architecture and backend services to mobile application development and deployment.

You'll work closely with robotics, product, AI, and operations teams to build software that technicians rely on every day in fast-paced industrial environments. The ideal candidate enjoys building products from scratch, making architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers while remaining deeply involved in writing production code.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of professional full stack software development experience
• Strong expertise with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Experience building and shipping production mobile applications using React Native, Flutter, native iOS/Android, or similar technologies
• Experience designing scalable cloud-native applications (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable)
• Strong background designing RESTful APIs and distributed systems
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience building scalable backend services using Node.js, .NET, Java, Go, Python, or similar technologies
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of software architecture, clean code principles, and test automation
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience building offline-first mobile applications
• Experience implementing synchronization between mobile and cloud platforms
• Experience with image capture, camera integration, or mobile computer vision
• Familiarity with IoT, robotics, or edge computing environments
• Experience with cloud messaging systems, event-driven architectures, and Pub/Sub technologies
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized applications
• Familiarity with automotive technology, field service applications, or industrial software
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives
• Contributions to open-source software projects are a plus
