About Flexzo AI

Flexzo AI is developing innovative AI-powered technology designed to transform healthcare staffing, workforce management, and scheduling.

We are building a next-generation healthcare scheduling platform that will help healthcare organizations optimize staffing, manage clinician availability, fill open shifts, and streamline workforce operations.

We are looking for a talented Full Stack Software Engineer with healthcare technology experience who is excited about building scalable software products and leveraging AI development tools to accelerate engineering productivity.

This is an opportunity to join a growing technology company and play a hands-on role in developing a healthcare technology platform from the ground up.

Position Overview

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying features across Flexzo AI's scheduling platform.

This individual will work closely with product leadership, designers, and other engineers to translate product requirements into functional, scalable software.

The ideal candidate has strong front-end and back-end development experience, understands healthcare technology environments, and has hands‑on experience using AI-assisted coding and engineering tools.

We are looking for an engineer who can work independently, solve complex technical problems, and move quickly from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain front‑end and back‑end components of Flexzo AI's scheduling platform.
  • Build responsive, intuitive, and user‑friendly interfaces.
  • Develop scalable APIs, backend services, databases, and application architecture.
  • Build and maintain integrations with third‑party systems and healthcare technology platforms.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing platform improvements.
Healthcare Scheduling Platform Development
  • Build features supporting healthcare workforce scheduling and resource management.
  • Develop scheduling functionality for healthcare professionals, facilities, and staffing organizations.
  • Build tools for clinician availability, shift management, open‑shift coverage, and scheduling workflows.
  • Develop intelligent matching capabilities that connect qualified healthcare professionals with appropriate shifts.
  • Create functionality for managing scheduling conflicts, shift changes, cancellations, and last‑minute staffing needs.
  • Help develop automated workflows that reduce manual scheduling and administrative processes.
  • Ensure the platform supports multiple user types, permissions, and organizational requirements.
AI‑Assisted Engineering
  • Leverage AI‑powered development tools to accelerate software development and improve engineering efficiency.
  • Use AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, debugging, documentation, and testing.
  • Evaluate emerging AI development tools and incorporate effective solutions into engineering workflows.
  • Build and integrate AI‑powered features that improve scheduling, workforce matching, and operational efficiency.
  • Understand how to validate, test, and secure AI‑generated code before deployment.
  • Apply strong engineering judgment when using AI tools rather than relying on generated code without review.
Collaboration & Product Development
  • Work closely with product management to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and technical planning.
  • Collaborate on sprint planning, development milestones, and feature releases.
  • Help identify technical opportunities to improve platform performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Contribute to building a strong engineering foundation as Flexzo AI scales.
Security & Quality
  • Follow secure software development practices.
  • Help ensure healthcare data is protected in accordance with applicable HIPAA requirements.
  • Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, and data access controls.
  • Develop automated testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain reliable, scalable, and secure application infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional full stack software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and launching production‑ready software applications.
  • Strong front‑end development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React or Next.js.
  • Strong back‑end development experience with technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.
  • Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
  • Strong database experience, including SQL and relational database design.

  • Experience with healthcare SaaS applications.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, and healthcare data integrations.
  • Experience with AI APIs, large language models (LLMs), and AI‑powered application development.
  • Experience with tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI‑assisted engineering environments.
  • Experience building complex scheduling algorithms, availability management, or automated shift‑matching systems.
  • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience building multi‑tenant applications and enterprise software platforms.
What We Offer
  • Opportunity to help build an innovative AI‑powered healthcare technology platform.
  • Significant ownership and influence over technical architecture and product development.
