Job summary

GliaCell Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive full-stack cloud-based applications and microservices for a U.S. Government contract. You will build REST services with Spring, optimize AWS services via Python, and implement CI/CD in an Agile team.

Requires active TS/SCI with polygraph, 9 years of experience with a bachelor's or 7 with a master's, and U.S. citizenship. Partial telework is allowed, with a salary range of $170,000–$230,000.

Job Description:

GliaCell is seeking a Senior Software Engineeron one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

The Work:

• Responsible for the full stack development of Cloud based applications and microservices.

Duties:

• Writing Java Spring Boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
• Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
• Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
• Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
• Agile development and delivery of software
• Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

• Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within the last 7years).
• Professional/Education experience: 9 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree, or 7 years of relevant experience with a master's degree.
• U.S. Citizenship.
• Works well independently as well as on a team.
• Strong communication skills.

Required Skills:

• Java 17+, JavaScript frameworks (React), Gitlab, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and modern datastores (NoSQL, Relational, Object)
• Need to have experience with full stack development, microservices,API design, model UI, and Git

Desired Skills:

• Spring, Kubernetes, docker, Terraform, Swagger and AWS managed services. System Requirements decomposition, release planning, CI/CD, Test frameworks and automation, and Agile Methodology. Familiar with FOSS & GOTS

Location:

Annapolis Junction, Maryland (Partial Telework of 16 hours per week is expected)

Salary Range:

The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $230,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across our projects. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection.
