Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher in CS/CE or related field and 8+ years of software development.
  • Proven experience building and deploying full-stack web apps.
  • Expert Python and strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
  • Experience with React, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • Relational and NoSQL databases; SQL and MongoDB knowledge.
  • Proficiency with Git, Linux, and modern DevOps practices.

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade full-stack apps for engineering.

General Summary

Qualcomm's CAD Infrastructure team develops and operates mission-critical engineering platforms used by thousands of engineers across CPU, DSP, AI, SoC, Physical Design, Verification, and Software organizations. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and scale modern web applications, automation platforms, data services, and AI-enabled solutions that improve engineering productivity across the company. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working across the full technology stack—from intuitive front-end user experiences to highly scalable backend services, cloud-native infrastructure, data platforms, and AI-driven workflows. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, technical program managers, DevOps engineers, and infrastructure architects to deliver tools that are used daily by Qualcomm's engineering community.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications used across engineering organizations.
  • Build modern web UIs using React, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python, Node.js, FastAPI, Express, or similar technologies.
  • Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Build and optimize large-scale data platforms leveraging SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Develop automation workflows for engineering productivity, infrastructure management, analytics, and reporting.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to deploy and operate applications in Kubernetes and containerized environments.
  • Build dashboards, reporting platforms, and data visualization tools.
  • Integrate AI/ML and LLM technologies into internal engineering workflows where applicable.
  • Drive software architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence across the team.
  • Troubleshoot performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues in production environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and engineering requirements into technical solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience building and deploying full stack web applications.
  • Expert-level programming skills in Python.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Experience developing modern front-end applications using React.
  • Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Experience with Git-based development workflows.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting EDA, CAD, semiconductor design, verification, or high-performance computing environments.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, or cloud-native platforms.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
  • Experience building data analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Splunk, or observability platforms.
  • Experience with LSF, Slurm, or distributed job scheduling systems.
  • Experience developing AI/LLM-powered applications and integrations.
  • Experience with authentication frameworks such as OAuth2, SAML, LDAP, or Active Directory.
