Overview

DecisionPoint seeks four Senior Full-Stack Software Developers to design, implement, test, secure, and modernize mission‑critical software capabilities for the USMEPCOM ENLIST program. These roles develop complex features across front‑end and back‑end application layers, build and integrate APIs, correct security findings, perform code reviews, and support reliable software releases.

The Senior Full‑Stack Software Developers work with architects, mission liaisons, requirements analysts, UI/UX specialists, testers, cybersecurity personnel, DevSecOps engineers, and Government stakeholders. They also mentor other developers and cross‑train across critical components to improve delivery continuity and reduce key‑person dependencies.

These positions are remote, with Chicago‑area candidates preferred.

Note: By applying to this position, you acknowledge and consent to having your resume included in an active competitive government contract bid.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, integrate, document, deploy, and maintain mission‑critical software capabilities.
  • Implement complex features and modernization enhancements across front‑end, application, service, API, and data‑access layers.
  • Translate approved requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, interface requirements, and design specifications into secure software solutions.
  • Develop intuitive and accessible web interfaces in coordination with UI/UX and accessibility specialists.
  • Design, implement, document, and maintain secure application programming interfaces and service integrations.
  • Develop reusable components, shared services, libraries, and software patterns.
  • Support application modernization, refactoring, technical‑debt reduction, and replacement of obsolete components.
  • Evaluate existing code and recommend improvements to reliability, maintainability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Implement approved security fixes and coordinate remediation with cybersecurity, testing, and platform teams.
  • Apply secure coding practices throughout design, development, testing, integration, and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and other automated quality checks.
  • Participate in peer reviews, code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
  • Review source code for correctness, security, performance, testability, maintainability, and compliance with established development standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex defects, integration failures, performance issues, and production‑support concerns.
  • Support root‑cause analysis and implement durable corrective actions.
  • Use approved version‑control practices, including branching, merging, pull requests, tagging, and release management.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, automated builds, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, API documentation, build instructions, installation procedures, and release artifacts.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily coordination, demonstrations, reviews, retrospectives, and release‑readiness activities.
  • Provide accurate estimates and identify technical risks, dependencies, assumptions, and implementation constraints.
  • Coordinate work with architecture, infrastructure, cloud, database, cybersecurity, testing, training, and operations teams.
  • Mentor junior and journeyman developers through technical guidance, code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
  • Cross‑train on critical application components and provide coverage during absences, incidents, releases, and priority remediation activities.
  • Support Government demonstrations, user acceptance testing, operational validation, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Protect sensitive data and comply with applicable federal, DoD, security, privacy, and configuration‑management requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of software‑engineering, testing, documentation, and delivery practices.
