Job summary

Peterson Technology Partners in Chicago is seeking a hands-on Full Stack .NET Developer to modernize an enterprise application from a Windows desktop to a web-based platform using Next.js, React, TypeScript, .NET Core, Web APIs, and SQL Server. You will work with the Lead Developer to accelerate delivery across frontend, middleware, and backend layers.

This contract role requires 10+ years in software development, strong React/Next.js/TypeScript skills, .NET Core, REST APIs, and SQL Server

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in full-stack web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in .NET Core / ASP.NET Core and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.
• Ability to work across frontend, middleware/API, and backend layers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance a modern web app using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs with .NET Core.
• Develop middleware and integrations between web app, APIs, and database.
• Design and optimize SQL Server queries and procedures.
• Collaborate with Lead Developer and team on architecture and standards.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance improvements.
• Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Deliver end-to-end functionality across frontend, API, and backend.
