Job summary

Horizontal is seeking a senior full stack developer in Washington, DC to design, build, and maintain modern web applications supporting financial operations. The role spans from database design to responsive front-ends using a current Microsoft and Angular stack in an onsite Agile environment.

You will develop APIs with ASP.NET Core Web API, work with SQL Server, and leverage Docker/Kubernetes in a microservices-friendly setup.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing web applications with C# and .NET.
• Hands-on experience with .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Strong knowledge of Entity Framework Core.
• Experience working with SQL Server and relational database design.
• Proficiency with Angular 16 or newer.
• Experience using Git or other Git-based version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain web applications across the full development lifecycle.
• Develop scalable APIs and service integrations using ASP.NET Core Web API.
• Create and optimize database objects, including schemas, stored procedures, and SQL queries.
• Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces with Angular.
• Work closely with cross-functional partners, including developers, QA, and business analysts.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that supports long-term stability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows and version control processes using Git-based tools.
• Support Agile delivery by collaborating on requirements, priorities, and technical solutions.
