Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering (Full Stack) to lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects within Risk Tech. You will guide a team of developers, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial wellbeing.

You will work with JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools to enable scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year of cloud computing experience.
• At least 4 years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Mentor engineering staff, participate in code reviews, and occasionally code or evaluate code.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for millions of users.
• Leverage JavaScript/Java/HTML-CSS/TypeScript/SQL/Python/Go and AWS tools to build scalable risk-management capabilities.
