Job summary

ingenium.agency in New York is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to shape our technology stack, owning both backend and frontend development reporting to the CTO. You will work in a startup environment and explore AI and legal-tech solutions.

You will design scalable systems, build GraphQL APIs, and drive frontend work with Next.js and TypeScript. This role requires strong problem solving, excellent communication, and willingness to be onsite near NYC three days a week.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience as a full-stack engineer in a fast-paced startup or agile environment.
• Strong API design skills, especially with GraphQL and serverless architectures.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms such as Vercel, AWS, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable distributed systems with robust server-side logic.
• Develop and refine GraphQL APIs, focusing on serverless architectures and seamless third-party API integrations.
• Manage and optimize relational databases (Postgres or similar).
• Drive frontend development using Next.js and TypeScript, delivering clean, maintainable, and performant code.
• Improve application performance, scalability, and reliability through strategic use of cloud platforms (Vercel, AWS, or GCP).
• Implement and uphold best practices in engineering processes, including CI/CD, automated testing, and code quality.
• Respond proactively to production-level alerts and participate in on-call rotations as needed.

About the Role

As our first Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the technology stack, designing scalable solutions, and owning both backend and frontend development. Work Arrangements

Our current plan is that all professional employees will be located within commuting distance to NYC and will come into the office 3 days a week.

Benefits and Paid Time Off

Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is between $175,000 and $200,000 plus equity. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors as permitted by law.
