Job summary

GradGuard’s Technology team is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to own critical features, building PHP/Laravel services with event-driven patterns and frontend work in Vue 3, Nuxt, and TypeScript.

You will ensure data integrity and security in financial workflows, design scalable APIs (REST and GraphQL), write tests, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product and design in a fully remote role open to most U.S. states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering experience.
• Advanced experience with PHP MVC frameworks, preferably Laravel.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with event-sourcing architecture and libraries.
• Experience with Vue3, Nuxt, TypeScript and Tailwind.
• Experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and support PHP/Laravel backend services within event-sourced financial frameworks.
• Collaborate with product and design to develop sites from scratch or enhance existing software to meet requirements.
• Write automated tests to support feature development and bug fixes.
• Provide code recommendations and design optimizations for usability, scalability, and performance.
• Assist in mentoring the web engineering team.
• Understand technical details of owned features and their interactions with other systems.
