Job summary

Shift5 is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer 2 to join our Product Engineering team. You’ll build and deploy high-impact features across Shift5’s product suite for defense and commercial aviation, reporting to the Manager, Off-Vehicle Software Engineering.

This role demands strong JS/TS, frontend frameworks, Go, REST APIs, and cloud deployment. Requirements include a BS/MS in CS or related, 3+ years of experience, AWS, Docker, CI/CD, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a US

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience with Go and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• UI & API Development: design, build, and deliver new features and improvements to the user interfaces and APIs.
• Feature Ownership & Autonomy: interpret requirements and develop, debug, test, and maintain software solutions with velocity.
• Domain-Tailored Solutions: design, build, and support features for defense and commercial aviation customers.
• Architecture & Standards: facilitate designs that meet security and quality standards.
