Job summary

Atlassian is hiring a senior full-stack engineer to support the DX team. You’ll fluently navigate Ruby on Rails, React, and SQL, delivering end-to-end features from problem shaping with product/design to shipping high-quality code and measuring impact.

You’ll work on backend-heavy development, REST APIs, and customer-facing components, while ensuring code quality, tests, and monitoring across distributed environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend-focused full-stack experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in modern OO languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, Python).
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and libraries (React, Node).
• Experience with scalable RESTful microservices and databases (Postgres, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with cloud patterns and public clouds (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features daily in a scalable, cross-geo environment.
• Develop robust REST APIs and customer-facing React components.
• Review code for readability, tests, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to clarify requirements.
• Ensure visibility, monitoring, and performance of backend services.
• Write performant SQL to power data workflows and reports.
• Own projects end-to-end from architecture to rollout and iteration.
