Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Engineer to drive a major transformation, leading a portfolio of complex microservices and full-stack projects. You will work with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, and TypeScript, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services.

The role supports remote work and emphasizes mentoring, architecture collaboration, and delivery excellence. The position requires a BS in CS or related field, 4+ years of software engineering, and 2+ years in cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or virtualization technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems
• Mentor engineers and stay current with tech trends, participating in technology communities
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower users and improve experiences
• Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and define service boundaries and reusable frameworks
• Proactively identify areas for improvement and reduce technical debt through targeted refactoring
