Job summary

BCforward seeks an Application Programmer III in Addison, TX, with 3 days onsite. The contract (12 months) covers full-stack design, development, and maintenance using ReactJS and Java Spring Boot, including RESTful APIs, Kafka integrations, and containerized deployments.

3 days onsite in Addison, with option for Jersey City, NJ. Requires 5+ years in full-stack roles, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and strong SQL performance skills. Agile experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience in full-stack roles.
• Strong proficiency in ReactJS, including components, hooks, and state management (Redux or Context API).
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for RESTful services.
• Experience with OpenShift containers.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of databases with strong SQL and performance tuning skills.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful web services.
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Kafka, and modern tooling (Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn).
• Knowledge of Git and version control best practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to diagnose and optimize application performance across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features using ReactJS and Java Spring Boot.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs with attention to performance and security.
• Implement Kafka-based integrations and microservices where applicable.
• Develop responsive, accessible UI components and manage state effectively.
• Write efficient SQL, tune queries, and ensure reliable data persistence.
• Containerize services and support deployments on OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize front-end and back-end components.
• Collaborate in Agile teams and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
