Job summary

HireHi is seeking a senior backend/Full Stack Engineer to advance Node.js/TypeScript microservices on an AWS-based SaaS platform. You will design GraphQL data aggregation across services and build Kafka-driven workflows, with frontend work using React and TypeScript.

The role requires production experience with distributed systems, idempotent processing, and strong AWS skills. You will participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality production releases.

Qualifications

• 6+ years backend development with Node.js/TypeScript.
• Experience designing distributed systems with asynchronous workflows and idempotency.
• Familiar with Transactional Outbox/dual-write, DLQs and event ordering.
• Experience with Kafka or equivalent streaming tech and consumer groups.
• Production experience with React and TypeScript.
• GraphQL as an aggregation layer across backend services.
• AWS experience: Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve Node.js/TypeScript microservices on an AWS-based SaaS platform.
• Design cross-service data aggregation using GraphQL over REST microservices.
• Build and maintain Kafka event-driven workflows with DLQs and retries.
• Develop frontend features using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Apollo.
• Test functionality and participate in PR reviews for production releases.
