CookUnity in the United States is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the Menu Team, building and optimizing backend services and APIs that power our menu experience. You will work on the Server‑Driven UI within our Backend‑for‑Frontend architecture, collaborating with product managers and engineers to ship customer‑facing features.

This role emphasizes scalable systems, low-latency data handling, and driving performance improvements, with a focus on REST, GraphQL, and data layer

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend/full-stack experience with Kotlin/Node.js/TypeScript.
• Strong RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and BFF experience.
• SQL databases optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• SOA/microservices architecture familiarity.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with design systems.
• Advanced English communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering the menu experience across mobile and web.
• Implement and optimize the BFF layer, ensuring efficient data handling and low latency API responses.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to design and implement new menu-related features.
• Optimize database queries and caching strategies for high-performance API responses.
• Improve monitoring, observability, and logging for backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions, contributing to technical best practices.
