Job summary

Inovalon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer L5 to join our Real World Data platform. You will design, develop, test, and support scalable full‑stack applications across the full development lifecycle, with emphasis on backend services and modern UI experiences.

The role requires 8+ years in software engineering, 5+ years in Java/JavaScript, 5+ years in Angular/React/Vue, strong SQL, and extensive AWS experience. You’ll mentor teammates, lead initiatives, and participate in on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with full-stack experience across backend and UI.
• 5+ years in Java and/or JavaScript.
• 5+ years with modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
• Strong SQL skills; Snowflake is a plus.
• Strong experience with AWS; knowledge of GCP/Azure is a plus.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience applying AI-driven development tools in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support full-stack solutions.
• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Java and JavaScript; build front-end features with Angular or other modern frameworks.
• Work with SQL and Snowflake for data querying, transformation, and analysis; contribute to data pipelines.
• Lead major initiatives, rollouts, and phased releases; mentor onboarding teammates.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure adherence to SLAs.
