Job summary

RiseMe in Chantilly, VA seeks an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to modernize legacy apps with Java/Spring Boot, AWS, and modern web UI.

You will design RESTful APIs, ETL pipelines, work in Agile teams, mentor juniors, and ensure quality with unit tests and peer reviews. Responsibilities include database design (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle), CI/CD with Git/Jenkins/Jira, Linux CLI, and thorough technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required or equivalent experience.
• 6–11 years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience in cloud environments using AWS.
• UI development experience with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/ Oracle/ MySQL).
• Experience creating, configuring, and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure.
• Experience with unit tests and peer code reviews.
• Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium.
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, and Jira.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to mentor junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy applications through full-stack development.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend using Java/Spring Boot.
• Develop responsive web interfaces with React/Angular/Vue.
• Build and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure.
• Design RESTful API endpoints and ensure best practices.
• Develop and implement ETL methodologies.
• Analyze customer requirements to craft technical solutions.
• Design database schemas and queries (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL).
• Develop and run unit tests to validate functionality.
• Perform peer code reviews to maintain quality.
• Create and execute automated tests with Selenium.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams for iterative delivery.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices.
