Job summary

SGS Consulting in Austin, TX is seeking a capable full‑stack developer to design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java, Groovy, and React. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver robust functionality and excellent user experience.

You will build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices, write clean, scalable code, perform unit testing with TDD, review code, and help deploy and optimize applications.

Qualifications

• Strong full-stack development with Java, Groovy, React required.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using Java and React
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to deliver optimal functionality and user experience
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices
• Perform code reviews and mentor team members on development standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Interpret and implement requirements from Jira stories
• Apply test-driven development (TDD) practices and maintain unit test coverage
• Support application deployment and runtime environments
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools
