Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming in New York, NY is seeking a Software Engineer III, Full Stack to design, build, test, and maintain scalable, low-latency sportsbook services. You will contribute to frontend and backend work and collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to deliver features that enhance user experiences.

You’ll bring 3+ years of full-stack experience with Java (Spring) and React, plus a solid grasp of software design, databases, and Agile practices.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience building full-stack applications with Java (Spring) and React.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, patterns, and system design.
Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and data modeling.
Exposure to Agile/SCRUM and cross-functional teams.
Proactive, ownership-driven mindset and good communication.
Willingness to travel occasionally for collaboration and events.

Responsibilities

Contribute to design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment of frontend and backend services.
Participate in on-call rotation and resolve production issues.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver features.
Participate in code reviews and team discussions to maintain quality.
Engage in sprint planning and architectural reviews and improve processes.
Build familiarity with Fanatics Betting & Gaming systems, platform, and user use cases.
Stay current with technologies, tools, and engineering best practices.
