Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a senior software engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of distributed systems for a leading US financial services institution. You will mentor engineers, shape technical strategy, and drive cloud-native architectures using Java, Spring Boot, and modern web frameworks.

The role requires on-site work in Whippany, NJ, with extensive AWS and IaC experience, plus strong knowledge of CI/CD and telemetry for reliable platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture.
• 5+ years building modern web applications using React or Angular.
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud architecture (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM) and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a Master's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Ability to work on-site 3 days per week in Whippany, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build enterprise full-stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and React or Angular.
• Design and implement modern cloud applications across AWS services including serverless, containerized workloads, and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Establish automated CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and production observability to maintain platform reliability.
• Collaborate closely with solution architects and product leadership to define execution roadmaps and system designs.
