Job summary

Bios Life is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a growing product engineering team building healthcare technology for cancer patients and care teams. You’ll own features end-to-end across frontend and backend, shipping production-ready capabilities built with React/TypeScript on the frontend and Python-based services on the backend.

You’ll work on a HIPAA-conscious platform with GraphQL APIs, cloud deployment, and collaborative product-driven development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building and shipping production applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
• Backend development with Python, frameworks like Django and/or FastAPI.
• Experience with GraphQL is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and production support.
• Experience in cloud-based production environments.
• Ability to turn product requirements into production-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship patient-facing product features from concept through production.
• Develop modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Design, build, and integrate backend services and APIs using Python.
• Develop and integrate GraphQL APIs for patient-facing and clinical apps.
• Collaborate with product, clinical, design, and engineering teams.
• Improve application reliability, performance, testing, and observability.
• Contribute to secure handling of healthcare information and HIPAA-compliant systems.
• Participate in architecture decisions while remaining hands-on.
