Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Engineer 4 (Plano, TX) to lead a portfolio of distributed data projects within the Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering group. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions across Java/Scala/Python/Go/Node.js tech stack on AWS.

You'll work with Docker/Kubernetes, open-source frameworks, and modern API patterns while driving performance, resilience, and secure data processing for financial services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• 7+ years of experience coding with two or more of: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
• 4+ years of experience creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with distributed microservices experience.
• Collaborate with product managers and deliver cloud-based solutions for millions of Americans.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering community growth.
• Define service boundaries and reusable frameworks with architects.
• Improve systems and reduce technical debt through refactoring.
