Job summary

Capital One in Riverwoods, IL is looking for a Full-stack Engineer 4 to design and operate scalable payment systems within the Global Payment Network. You will lead a portfolio of projects, mentor developers, and collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that meet regulatory needs for millions of users.

The role requires experience across Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and open source

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in CS or related quantitative field.
4+ years of software engineering experience.
2+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Master's degree in CS or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver cloud-based solutions.
Mentor engineers, drive best practices, and reduce technical debt.
Contribute to open source frameworks and establish coding standards.
