Job summary

Capital One is seeking experienced Full-stack Software Engineers to help drive a major transformation across our digital payments platform. You will work on backend APIs, cloud-hosted solutions, and modern front-end stacks across Java, Scala, Python, and JavaScript ecosystems.

You will lead delivery across distributed microservices, collaborate with product managers, and push for engineering excellence, including CI/CD, IaC, and observability practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply).
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in internal/external technology communities.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for millions of users.
