Job summary

Smartlink’s Technology Department operates at a dynamic pace, with the Senior Full Stack Engineer owning Smartlink's portfolio of internal applications supporting field operations and network data. Reporting to the CIO, this role shapes architecture, development, and release across database schemas, services, UI, and cloud infrastructure.

You’ll work independently with a security-minded mindset, treating AI-assisted development as core infrastructure while mentoring engineers and helping scale

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping production web or mobile applications end to end.
• Experience as the first, only, or one of very few engineers on a product and setting direction.
• Curiosity about the business and wireless/data center infrastructure.
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js across client and server, including React.
• Relational DB skills with PostgreSQL or equivalent and type-safe ORM.
• Experience on Azure cloud with CI/CD, IaC, and containerized services.
• Security mindful: access control, auditing, and secure defaults.
• Experience designing REST APIs and integrating third party systems.
• Fluent use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot).
• Issue mentoring and leadership as the team grows.

Responsibilities

• Own the application portfolio end to end: architecture, development, release, and production support.
• Mature an existing production codebase to scale with tests and docs.
• Define software workflows: intake, version control, environment promotion, and change management.
• Build full stack TypeScript features from database to UI and mobile interfaces.
• Deploy and operate containerized services on Azure with CI/CD and IaC.
• Own platform security including authentication, multi-tenant isolation, and audit logging.
• Integrate apps with Microsoft 365, Slack, and vendor APIs.
• Apply AI-assisted development as a core practice and review AI-generated code.
• Build AI into products (document intelligence, summarization, anomaly detection).
• Stay at AI tooling frontier and mentor engineers; shape engineering standards.
