Job summary

Aarden is seeking a product engineer to join our Seattle team. You will contribute across the stack—expanding the user experience with Next.js, refining API routes in Node/Express, and occasionally working directly with Postgres environments.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience building production web applications with TypeScript, React, and a Node-based backend.
Strong understanding of frontend/backend architecture and API design.
Experience with testing (unit, integration, E2E) and in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design and build product features across map, tables, filters, and AI/assistant experiences in Next.js (TypeScript + React).
Implement and evolve backend routes and APIs in Node/Express that back those interactions.
Work with Postgres environments to support end-to-end development.
Own architectural decisions around the application layer and integrations with external services.
Collaborate with design and product to scope features and iteratively ship improvements.
Improve developer experience via better abstractions and boundaries between frontend/backend/shared types.
