Qualifications

• 5-8 years in full-stack engineering with depth in backend and frontend.
• Core stack is Python and PostgreSQL; understands async patterns, database security, and migrations.
• Hands-on AI-assisted coding tools daily with good judgement about overrides.
• Regulated environments: HIPAA, SOC 2, or PCI; emphasizes audit trails and data access controls.

Responsibilities

• Build features end-to-end across backend services and React frontend with AI-assisted workflows.
• Write core component logic by hand for deterministic financial calculations and validation.
• Review PRs with architectural and security judgment; provide coverage as needed.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing and code reviews.
• Escalate architectural decisions with broad impact to lead engineer or CTO.
